Leather Chest Holster for Semi Autos

Phenomenal!!

I'm just back from wearing this work of art for a 3 night, 4 day backcountry scouting trip in heavy black bear and mountain lion areas. Some spots overlap and border grizz and wolf territory so I like to have my 10mm loaded with some hot, hard casts just in case. The holster is beautifully crafted but most importantly comfortable, so it's a joy to look at and to wear. It was on my chest 4 straight days unless sleeping. The thumb button latch was flush molded to my pistol, so it kept it very secure. I hadn't yet practiced drawing, so I kept it unbuttoned unless we were on steep terrain or crossing water. Even unbuttoned the holster was snug enough to secure my glock without worry. I had used a kit bag for a couple years but that'll be made into an essentials bag now, and this holster is now my go to hiking and backpacking rig. Thanks to Paradise Valley Leather, this is a true delight to use.

The leather chest holster itself is awesome. It fits the pistol perfectly. The harness is not desirable, It is difficult to adjust and when adjusted to what I think it should be it is uncomfortable to wear. The leather gathering piece where the straps come together bunches up and is irritating to wear. I will need to find someone to engineer and make a new strap system that is easy to put on to attach to the awesome holster. For $120.00 plus shipping, I am thankful the holster is perfect.

Quality built item - fits my SA SD-Compact perfectly - and once properly adjusted to my chest, I almost forget I'm carrying while hiking 9 hours with a backpack on. Draw is seamless and easy, though with time re-insertion and snapping secure will be equally quick and easy. Some have commented on the "Plastic" D-rings, which shouldn't be a problem as there's not a great amount of torque or load on them, and unlike metal will resist perspiration-induced corrosion over time. Added benefit is the wide shoulder strap on top, but even without it a medium to light-weight firearm will is not uncomfortable for a few hours at a time. Customer service is great - as my first holster was for a full size, not compact as ordered. Return/Exchange was effortless. Thank you, Gordon!

Great chest holster, and you can tell it is very well made. Fits great, and adjustment is pretty straightforward. It can take a few minutes at first to get setup exactly where you want it, but once you do that it works awesome. Trigger guard and slide strap are also nice features. Arrived in the exact amount of time they said it would. Great product
